The Magic Lantern is a quarterly print newsletter published by the Magic Lantern Society of Great Britain.
The organization collects, preserves, and shares information about the early projector that let to the development of film. The newsletter includes scholarly articles and reports on the Society’s activities.
My photo, taken at the annual Nagasaki Lantern Festival in Japan, was used to illustrate an article on rare Japanese slides for the September 2024 issue.
